President Joe Biden made a pointed effort Thursday to criticize two branches of the American government during his trip to Europe. The president first voiced his frustration with the Supreme Court during his press conference in Spain, scolding them for their "outrageous behavior" by overturning Roe v. Wade and ruling supporting the Second Amendment. He described the Supreme Court as "destabilizing" to the global order.
"We've been a leader in the world in terms of personal rights and privacy rights, and it is a mistake in my view for the Supreme Court to do what it did," he said.
Justices to the Supreme Court were nominated by the duly elected president and confirmed by the United States Senate...
During his press conference, the president also implicitly criticized the Senate for not codifying the right to abortion into federal law, urging them to break the filibuster rules protecting the minority party's ability to block legislation.

The Democrat Party's divorce of God should come as no surprise. At the 2012 Democrat National Convention, most delegates wanted to remove a reference to God from the party platform. When the leaders decided to leave it, the audience loudly booed. They did not want even a superficial reference to God...
Contrast their attitude to that of Benjamin Franklin, considered one of America's most nonreligious founders. Franklin reacted swiftly and vehemently when Thomas Paine sent him a manuscript in which he challenged the idea of a prayer-answering God and other aspects of orthodox Christian doctrine.
Franklin refused to print the book and, in strong language urged Paine not even to allow anyone else see it.
He wrote,"I would advise you, therefore ... to burn this piece before it is seen by any other person; whereby you will save yourself a great deal of mortification by the enemies it may raise against you, and perhaps a good deal of regret and repentance. If men are so wicked with religion [Christianity], what would they be if without it" (Hyatt, 1726: The Year That Defined America, 138).
Franklin may have questioned certain aspects of Christian doctrine during his life, but he was convinced that only Christianity provided the moral teachings for a stable and successful society. He dreaded the thought of what would happen if that influence were removed.

Because Torah is both law and revelation, it functions in a dual capacity. On one hand, it is a rule of conduct by which we are held accountable. On the other hand, it is the expression of God in human terms. Torah is more than just legal formulations; it is the revealed Person of God dressed in laws and commandments. It is His spoken Word written down, His self-disclosure to the world. So when one realizes the Torah is God's self-disclosure to the world, one must also recognize the enormous gravity of declaring parts of that same Torah null or void. Even the smallest commandment of the Torah is the suffused with godliness. To declare any commandment as irrelevant or obsolete is to deny the eternal and unchanging nature of God.As soon as we begin to discard commandments, we have begun editing God. We have started reshaping God into an image we deem more appropriate. For example, we Westerners find the idea of clean and unclean laws disquieting. It is therefore theologically convenient for us to annul all laws pertaining to clean and unclean. By so doing, we are able to clean up God's image a bit. We feel more comfortable with a God who doesn't make seemingly superstitious distinctions between a menstruating woman and one who is not. But in so doing, we have changed God's self-disclosure to suit our biases. This is a very slippery kind of religion. When we tried to change the Torah or do away with the commandment, it is actually God we are trying to change or do away with.D.
